CSRC Think Tank Prevention of Sudden Cardiac Death in the Young: Pathway to Survival
January 11-12, 2024
Duke University Campus - Penn Pavilion
Do you want to learn more about saving young lives from SCA through youth heart screenings, CPR training, AED placement and cardiac emergency preparedness? Are you looking for a community where you can belong, share ideas and take action?
Because there is no national standard for SCA prevention programs for youth, this educational event shares innovative and effective working models that provide real-time solutions to fill this gap in youth health and safety in collaboration with stakeholders working to elevate the standard of care.
Across the last two decades, Heart to Heart has become the national venue hosting a coalition of prevention champions representing 40 states who convene each year to be empowered and equipped to advance community programs that drive the demand for change.
You don’t want to miss this incredible opportunity—the only national event solely dedicated to SCA prevention in youth. It’s more than a conference: Learn from experts, participate in briefings on the latest research and legislation, network with colleagues and much more. You will leave empowered to make a difference in your community.

The objectives of the CSRC Think Tank meeting are to:
• address the prevention of sudden cardiac death in the young, specifically focusing on improving survival pathways,
• enhancing screening and detection methods, and
• establishing national standards of care.
The two-day Think Tank will include discussions on out-of-hospital cardiac arrest survival in children, the role of screening and early detection, and the steps necessary to achieve a uniform standard of prevention. Speakers and panelists from various medical, regulatory, and industry backgrounds aim to explore barriers, advancements, and strategies in each of these areas to ultimately enhance the survival and well-being of young individuals at risk of sudden cardiac death.
